Rachel and Rahul's traditional and modern cultural wedding in Austin Texas captured by Southern Love Creative

Celebrating a Life Lived Together | Rachel + Rahul

With six different event spaces to choose from, The Arlo has the perfect location available for any style of wedding. Directly between Downtown Austin and the glorious Texas Hill Country, you will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful and stylish venue. Rachel and Rahul had an Indo-Western fusion wedding in mind that fit perfectly within the luxury and elegance offered by The Arlo.

A Life Lived, a Future Planned

This couple had been together nine years before the wedding took place, so their focus was less on a new beginning and more on celebrating a life lived and all that had come before. The nine years leading up to the wedding were just as important as the wedding itself–and all of the years to come.

Seeking a fusion of culture and tradition, Rachel and Rahul had a very long day planned that began with hair and makeup at 5 in the morning! Rachel also had multiple outfit changes to get through including a six yard saree, a nine yard saree, and a traditionally western white wedding gown. Blended together with food, family, and fun, they created an experience worthy of their lives together thus far.

“…it didn’t feel long at all with all of the activity packed in! We are so grateful to everyone that was part of our wonderful day.”

A Fusion of Fun, Tradition, and Family

There were many things to enjoy during the big day and, with around 300 guests in attendance, many people to celebrate and take part in the festivities. Some of Rachel and Rahul’s favorite parts included the delicious gourmet Indian food, dancing with friends and family, playing memorable tunes with the house band, and how smoothly everything operated.

Rachel was on top of the schedule and made sure that everything was planned and running perfectly. With so many guests present and activities happening, it was important to keep everything organized and moving on time. As a result of this meticulous planning, many guests shared that it was the best wedding they had ever attended!

This wedding is not the beginning of Rachel and Rahul’s story but a celebration of a life lived together already. Here’s to many more years and celebrations for this couple as they navigate their future hand in hand.
