Focus on Family

Chynna and Cadyn found themselves disappointed when they would attend the wedding of close friends and get to spend no actual time with them. What’s the point of a wedding if you don’t get to celebrate with the people you love? This inspired them to not just have a wedding day, but a wedding experience that would take place over the course of a weekend. Looking to have plenty of opportunities for everyone to mingle and spend time together, they eyed The Retreat as just the place to have it.

Chynna had spent a thanksgiving weekend at The Retreat 6 years prior, and had many fond memories about the time spent there with family. Looking to create a similar experience, the couple hoped that their guests would remember the weekend together for years to come. They were also excited for all of the delicious food they had there! Looking at the photos, it’s clear that all of their guests had the time of their lives!

A Symbol of Their Love

As Chynna approached her wedding day, she focused on how happy Cadyn made her. When he proposed, he surprised her with a beautiful floral wedding band. Seeking to carry that inspiration with her through to the wedding, Chynna was certain that she wanted a dress to match. Luckily, the perfect dress presented itself, and the joy that the couple shared was represented in it.

“After trying on 10-12 dresses, I caught a glimpse of a dress in the window on a mannequin and asked if I could try it on. It looked like a dress a forest fairy would wear. After trying it on, I knew it was the perfect representation of how my ring made me feel the first time I saw it.”

On the topic of advice, Chynna was all about the vision. She suggests utilizing sites like Pinterest or Instagram to develop ideas and form a clear vision for your wedding day. Once you know what you want, lean on your vendors to help make it a reality. Cadyn and Chynna couldn’t wait to get married, and they couldn’t have asked for a better experience than to spend it with their closest friends and family.
