A Fusion of Culture, Love, and Commitment at the Unique Springdale Station | Madison + Jet

Madison and Jet were married at one of my favorite venue locations in Austin: the historic and storied Springdale Station. The one-of-a-kind feel of Springdale made their ceremony extra special!

Getting the Details Right

Jet and Madison wanted their wedding to be simple and casual but also include elements of their cultural heritage (White European and Punjabi). The decorations involved flowing greenery accented with natural wood and gold elements. Jet’s family wore traditional Indian attire, and Madison complemented her perfect off-white dream dress with Mehndi (temporary skin artistry) decorating her hands, forearms, and feet. The final touch was a blend of Indian music incorporated into the dancing and merriment!

The Most Special Moments

Jet’s favorite parts included their delicious vegan desserts and cakes as well as the first look moment between him and Madison. She loved sharing their personally written vows and their final dance together. The thing that made it extra special for both of them was the fact that Madison was 20 weeks pregnant at the time, so they included their growing child into their loving commitment to one another.

Focus on the Highlights

As always, we asked Madison and Jet if they had any advice for other couples planning a wedding. Their biggest takeaway was to focus on a few special things that were important to both of them and to make sure that those parts were perfect. Wedding planning can be very stressful and overwhelming, but this way some of the stress can be diminished and some of the most memorable parts can truly shine on the big day. Jet and Madison were focused on having delicious meals and desserts for everyone to enjoy as well as making sure that it was all captured on camera and video. Their wedding day was the perfect blend of simple and casual, cultural heritage, and historical setting.

“We really wanted video so that we could truly capture our emotions on our wedding day, especially when reading our vows to each other.”
