Jon and Jordan’s love of nature was perfectly reflected in their choice of venue for their exciting wedding day!

A Bigger Wedding

Originally, Jon and Jordan planned on having a small ceremony before celebrating with everyone at a large reception afterward. Their parents, however, were not fans of that plan, hoping instead that they would have a ceremony large enough to welcome the whole family to the event. The couple ended up compromising and having the wedding their parents imagined, and Hummingbird House was the perfect place for such a celebration.

Natural Beauty Takes Center Stage

Jon and Jordan have a shared love of nature and the beauty that is found within, so it was important to find a venue that represented that passion. The gardens and courtyards of Hummingbird House had so much to offer the couple, and the acres of natural beauty provided the perfect wedding venue. Opting to let nature speak for itself, they chose to keep decor minimal and instead let the carefully cultivated plants and courtyards take center stage. The only thing they added was a pop of disco to liven things up and help get the party started.

Leading up to the big day, the couple experienced a mixture of excitement, nervousness, and joy. Despite the pre-wedding jitters, they knew that everything would work out. Their advice to others planning their wedding? Decide early on what is non-negotiable for you and your partner. It’s important to plan a wedding that not only represents you as a couple, but also has all of the elements needed to make your wedding celebration perfect. Prioritize what matters, and let the rest go as you party into the night with friends and family close by on the dance floor.
