The Magic of Classic Love | Kaitlin + Ricky
Classic love was in the air for Kaitlin and Ricky’s wedding. What better place to capture the spirit of that love than the delightfully classic Hotel Ella? Stately columns, sleek design, and stunning surroundings make this venue an unforgettable place to get married.
Tradition, With a Twist
Kaitlin wanted her wedding to be easy and full of laughter-a beautiful goal for any celebration. With loved ones gathered close by to support her and Ricky, she got exactly that. The primary inspiration for the wedding was themes of Classic Love, which saw modern twists on traditional practices while celebrating the couple and their relationship. The couple were able to put their own spin on the day while maintaining that classic feeling.
One of Ricky’s big requests was to not see Kaitlin before she walked down the aisle. This added plenty of suspense to the day as each was eager to see the other and finally take this next step. Adding their own twist on the tradition, Ricky met her halfway down the aisle to symbolize that their journey to the marriage altar was one they were taking together. This beautiful moment emphasized their classic love and proudly displayed their commitment to everyone watching.
“I had so much anxiety while getting ready and the walk up to the big reveal. Once I saw him, all my worries faded away.”
Let’s Have a Party!
Despite all of the nervousness and anxiety, the couple was most focused on getting to spend the day with their loved ones. More than anything, they were beyond ready to get the party started and celebrate with every one. The day was kept smooth and calm by their wedding planner, Art Fuentes (Eclipse Event Co.). The couple were very pleased with his work, and noted that his humor and calm demeanor made everything easier.
The wedding also featured some other fun twists and surprises. They did a T-shirt toss instead of the traditional bouquet/garter event. Who doesn’t love getting a T-shirt? Everyone’s favorite also made an appearance during cocktail hour: beer burros!
A Day For Classic Love
Kaitlin and Ricky had one major suggestion for other couples: Keep your budget in check! It was incredibly helpful to have a separate calendar set up for all of the payments and due dates needed throughout the planning process. Consider that one less thing to worry about!
All in all, it was a fun and energetic day to celebrate the couple’s union. Fun twists on traditional practices added personalized touches to a beautiful celebration of classic love.
