The continuous development and growth of Austin never stops, and the results are often surprisingly beautiful! Situated between East 5th and East 6th streets, Onion Street has been pedestrianized into a stunning outdoor paseo complete with charming string lights and stylish architecture. Kim and Trey had a simple ceremony in mind, and this was the perfect location to commit to one another.

Outdoor Elopement in Style

Kim and Trey knew that the most important thing for their wedding day was to have the most important people in attendance. Opting for a small, intimate elopement, it became clear that anywhere could be a wedding venue. The couple chose the lovely outdoor paseo that was once Onion Street to gather with friends and family and take the next step on their journey together. As a self-described “fun, tattooed couple”, the pair wanted an enjoyable day to share their love. After getting ready and sharing those special moments with their friends, they gathered in the paseo for a simple, yet elegant, wedding ceremony.

A Day of Shared Passions

Tattoos aren’t the only thing this couple has a shared love for, and they decided to include some of their other loves in the planning for the elopement. The timing was right, and they enjoy tacos and tequila, so Cinco de May seemed like the perfect day to tie the knot. Other than that, they opted to keep the details simple, even when it came to the dress–which is still stunning on Kim.

With their group clad in black and pops of yellow (their favorite color!), they gathered beneath the dreamy string lights in the outdoor paseo to commit themselves to one another and a life together. After splitting off to take elopement photos, the couple met back up with their closest friends and family for a delicious dinner at De Nada Cantina. In preparing for this wedding, Kim and Trey knew that it was important to not stress about the small stuff and trust that things would work out as intended in the end.

Together, this loving pair is ready for the next stage of their lives.
