When it comes to engagement shoots, there are two things that often go hand-in-hand: gorgeous natural landscapes and a happy couple delighting in each other’s presence. Vasantha and Daniel were so excited to share with us why their relationship is special and show off what their love means to them. This pair found each other during their college years, and it has been a whirlwind together ever since.

A Natural Evolution of Love

Engagement is such a magical point in a couple’s evolving relationship. Though they have been together for years, in some ways, a couple is never more excited than when their wedding day is approaching. It is also the perfect time to show the world just how much they mean to each other–and we get to document it!

Vasantha and Daniel met at Saint Louis University as freshmen in September of 2015. Amidst all of the excitement and anxiety of being a new student at college, a spark was lit between them. Within a few months, that spark had grown, and they had started dating. Now, nine years later, that spark is a shining foundation of love and support as this couple looks forward to their wedding day.

A perfect Balance

As a pair of self-described introverts, one of the most important aspects of their relationship is that spending time together isn’t taxing on them and feels natural and effortless. Instead, the moments together allow them to relax and enjoy their shared hobbies and passions or do their own thing. Neither of them is made to feel as though they have to be doing something together, yet they both love those special moments when they do join up and talk about their interests or do something as a couple. Vasantha and Daniel both love playing board games and video games with each other, watching anime, and, of course, bothering their beloved cats.

“We never feel pressured to be doing something together and are able to enjoy each other’s presence in silence while doing separate activities, but also love coming together to talk and enjoy our joint hobbies together!”

This couple is both anxious and excited about their wedding day–something that will be all too familiar to many couples. They know things will be wonderful on the day, but it’s hard not to stress the details. Thankfully, we were able to give them a smooth and easy engagement photo shoot experience. Vasantha and Daniel shared with us what they were thinking for the shoot, and we were able to suggest a location that worked perfectly for them. The proof is in the photos: this couple have built something special and long-lasting, and this is still just the beginning of their journey together.
